The Writing Center also oversees the KU Core Writing Fellows program, which supports students in those classes through embedded writing consultants.

Coordinates academic and co-curricular programs to challenge and support first-year students and establish a strong foundation for earning a degree. Susan Klusmeier, Director
Collaborates with campus and community partners to develop, implement, assess, and communicate strategies that foster undergraduate student success. Provides guidance and support to the Undergraduate Advising Executive Committee (UAEC) and the KU Advising Network (KUAN). Responsible for the overarching strategy and user support of the retention technologies provided by EAB. Directs the KU Adidas Leadership Scholars program, and actively partners with similar undergraduate student retention initiatives. Coordinates the concurrent enrollment program between KU and the Lawrence Public Schools. Represents the university through formal partnerships supporting student success, including the University Innovation Alliance (UIA).
